The Daily Program

The activities are designed to take into account both the child’s individual and different age group requirements.

A normal day begins with morning circle, during which the day’s events are discussed. The teachers organize, for example, activity groups in which the children can support and develop their individual and social skills. The children are also divided into four groups based on age, development and language ability. One of these groups is the Preschool group (Brown Bear Group), which fulfils requirements for preparing the children for compulsory school attendance the following year. 

The childrens’ program also includes exercise and sports, both inside and outside. The children make visits to the local library about once a month. Other field trips made include visits to the zoo, the fire station and Heureka, Kiasma, Ateneum. Frequent trips are made to various theatres and museums.

In addition to the English, we also focus on ensuring that the children enjoy our daycare and have pleasant days.
